Pixel Parlor is in search of a WordPress front-end developer to work directly with our senior front-end developer to help support our interactive team. Our new developer will have a creative background, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, a deep knowledge of technology, and a love of collaboration.

This individual will work with our interactive team to build new WordPress sites, help maintain and fix existing sites, and innovate new digital solutions for our clients.

Candidates should be:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years experience or impressive code samples
  • Confident and skilled in fundamentals (HTML/CSS)
  • Expertise with WordPress theming and plugins
  • Experience with version control and GiT
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Experience with modern design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Photoshop and Invision
  • Experience working with a design team
  • Experience with various web hosting environments (shared, private, cloud, etc.)
  • Some familiarity with marketing and marketing automation platforms (Hubspot, MailChimp, etc.)

Experience in These Items is a Plus:

  • React and/or Gutenberg specific knowledge or experience.
  • Some knowledge of JavaScript (ES6), jQuery and PHP/My SQL
  • SEO best practices
  • Experience in connecting 3rd party services/APIs (Google Maps, Twitter, YouTube)
  • CMS development for Drupal, Joomla, or any other CMS
  • Ecommerce experience (WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, Shopify)


  • Collaborate with studio partners and management on all aspects of our website design process
  • Make decisions that will shape the future of the digital team
  • Balancing multiple projects with a variety of clients
  • Build and style websites from Photoshop using visual comps and technical specifications
  • Testing, launching, and instructional documentation
  • Manage day-to-day edits, updates, and bug-fixes to existing client sites
